The President Calls Families of Shot Guard Soldiers to White House

Former President Donald Trump revealed on Sunday that he has extended an invitation the family of a National Guard member fatally shot last week to come to the White House.

He added that he contacted her family and they were “devastated”.

Information on the Heartbreaking Incident

Soldier Sarah Beckstrom, twenty years old, was lost her life in a shooting on Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her colleague, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, continues receiving treatment in grave state.

Gatherings across West Virginia have occurred in their remembrance.

Presidential Invitation

The president stated he’s discussed a meeting at the presidential residence for the loved ones of both individuals of the state Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a hard experience, arrive at the White House. We’re going to recognize Sarah,” Trump informed the press. “And similarly with him, whether he recovers or not.”

Public Support

Community members came together over the weekend at the high school in the state to honor Sarah.

Both the soldiers had been fulfilling duties with the state guard as part of Trump’s federal initiative to assist law enforcement in Washington DC.

Honoring Beckstrom

“Sarah was the individual that teachers hoped for. She behaved with inner fortitude, a bright grin and a upbeat demeanor that lifted those around her,” the principal, the head of Beckstrom’s alma mater, told the media. “She was kind, caring and always willing to help others.”

Funeral arrangements for Sarah are in the process of planning.

Legal Actions and Government Revisions

Authorities have charged a twenty-nine-year-old suspect with one count of homicide and charges of violent assault while carrying a weapon.

The tragedy led the government to halt refugee claims and cease providing entry permits to owners of travel documents.

Condition of the Airman

Andrew Wolfe, a native of the city, started his military career in early 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman High, as reported by the AP.

He remains under medical supervision and is “in a critical fight”, the state’s leader the governor said on a news program.

Attorney general Pam Bondi stated on Fox News Sunday that she aimed to speak to his relatives.

Legacy of the Fallen Soldier

Beckstrom, from her hometown, graduated from her high school in 2023 and began her service not long after, serving as a law enforcement officer with excellence, per the state guard.

“She had a lot of goodness and she absolutely had fortitude,” the governor addressed the crowd at the vigil. “Though her time ended too soon, she has made an impact that’s going to last forever.”
