England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Sports Star of the Year award.

These three athletes have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the last year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin rose to fame with a historic innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The shortlisted athletes were announced live on a widely-listened-to radio show.

This year's winner will be revealed live on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December.

The ceremony will be televised from seven in the evening GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

A mere three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She was introduced as a substitute to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

These match-saving moments led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Later in the year, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the best young player in Europe.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.

Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"Being on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is incredible," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

The year started for Littler in incredible form as - while still 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, breaking the previous record.

"To receive a nomination for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a big honour," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a proud moment for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the season's run tally and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it inspires more girls to get into cricket."
